Installing Module

The Ignition Module is installed and runs on the Ignition server. It connects to Ignition using the Ignition Module Java SDK, and hosts a secure websocket for HighByte to connect to. To install the module, follow the steps below.

The module has been tested with Ignition version 8.1+.

Installing the HighByte Ignition Module

  1. Download the HighByte-Intelligence-Hub-X.X.X.modl from the portal
  2. Login to Ignition and navigate to Config and Modules. Select Install or Upgrade Module... at the bottom of the page
  3. Click Choose File and browse and select the .modl file
    • You’ll need to accept the module EULA and the self-signed certificate used to sign the module
  4. Once installed, you’ll see HighByte Intelligence Hub in the main left hand menu
  5. You can now connect to Ignition from HighByte using the default port

Configuring the Modules

Enabled

When enabled the websocket servers is active and listening on the port.

Port

The port that the websocket server listens on.

Change Password? / Password

The password used to authenticate clients. This blank by default. If used, the password must match the password used by in the HighByte connection settings.
